Russia can double Turkish tomato imports to 100,000 tns/yr
MOSCOW, Dec 29 (PRIME) -- The Russian Agriculture Ministry has prepared a draft order doubling the imports of tomatoes from Turkey to 100,000 tonnes annually, according to the document published on the website for legal acts on Saturday.
The draft is undergoing anti-corruption review.
Moscow banned tomato imports from Turkey as part of the sanctions introduced after Ankara downed a Russian Su-24 bomber in 2016. In November 2017, the restrictions were lifted but tomatoes are imported under quotas.
